A Very Fond Farewell

Well, dear Readers, this is my final post, and not just for 2013.  I have decided to retire The French Touch blog.  It’s been a truly wonderful adventure, but all good things must come to an end.

Over the last two and one-half years, it has been such a joy putting together posts for you, but, at the end of the day, it must be said that there are so many wonderful blogs out there that mine will surely not be missed; nevertheless, to those of you who signed up to follow me and took the time to leave comments on my posts, I am truly grateful.

I wish you all a healthy, happy and blissful new year.  God bless you all.

M-T (Marie-Thérèse)

  2. So sad that you are retiring from blogging. I concur with Cat in her comment above. Hopefully you will stay on line and visit from time to time. I still haven’t mustered the energy to get back to my blog since my father’s death….2013 hasn’t been a great year on many fronts. However, I hope to get back to providing regular posts very soon.
May the joy and peace of Christmas be with you throughout 2014. Bisous

    1. Dear Elizabeth, my Blog will remain on line for the time being, and I may visit from time to time.

I know how it feels to lose a parent, and how hard it can be to get your life back on track. I hope 2014 will be a terrific year for you in every aspect, including blogging.

      Big bisous ma chère Elizabeth

    1. Dear Josephine, I have a feeling this will be a truly terrific year for you. No doubt I will be reading all about it as I cuddle up with my cats, a delicious "cuppa" at my side and the heavenly music of the final trio from "Der Rosenkavalier" playing in the background.

      Warmest cheers to you, M-T

    1. Dearest Mariette, You are among the many reasons I am so sad to leave the Blogging world, but I know we will stay in touch.

I will be leaving my Blog up for now and, who knows(?), maybe I will even write an occasional post.

      Bonne année ma chère Mariette,

      xoxo, M-T

  6. Bonjour M-T. I just happened to stop by tonight. There has not been much time for blogging or blog-reading lately, as you know. I am very sad you have decided to put the blog "on Pause," (I like this better because Pause is not as permanent...) I understand your reasons, of course. A blog is a demanding child, as I very well know. I will miss your informative and often cheeky stories, but Dieu Merci, there is a life outside the internet. On reste en contact, n'est-ce-pas? Bisous, Vero (French Girl in Seattle)

    1. Ever the "optimiste" ma chère Véro -- very unFrench, but I love you for it. Perhaps a very long "pause café" would be a good way to describe it. Yes, indeed a blog can be a very spoiled and demanding child.

"On reste en contact -- bien sûr (il n'y en a pas question!!).

Big bisous, ma chère Véro; M-T

  10. M-T, I'm so sad to see you are retiring from blogging. You are such a kind, gentile, generous bloggy friend and your blog will be missed. I always enjoyed all the stories you had to tell, especially the story of your mother's life and your opera stories and will always remember them. Please stay in touch and best wishes for your next ventures.

    1. Dear Grace, I am touched that you will miss my little musings, particularly about Mme Mère and her interesting life and, yes, I do know you and I share a love of opera. I will absolutely stay in touch. I promise.

      Ciao for now, M-T

My dear Readers, I do so love reading your comments and appreciate the time you take to make them. To make it easier to leave your comments, I have disabled that annoying "Word Verification" setting, which Blogger (in its infinite wisdom) enabled without my consent.
